The happy hour experience

Bathed in trendy, mid-century modern style, Tropicale’s Coral Seas Lounge is a throwback to old Hollywood and the glamorous Palm Springs of yesteryear.

The lounge’s happy hour is popular among locals for good reason. Each afternoon from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. guests are invited to enjoy $3 beers and $4 well drinks and house wines accompanied by affordable appetizers from all corners of the globe. Small plates range from steamed edamame with sea salt to luscious Thai chicken skewers served with zesty peanut sauce (each $7).

The mod décor provides the perfect backdrop for burning a few hours while sipping on a gin and tonic (or whatever your poison happens to be) and the 2,000 square-foot patio, located right off the lounge, is an ideal spot to escape the stress of the day. Order up a specialty cocktail, such as the intoxicating ginger lemon mojito or the Hawaiian stone our, and take in the blossoming emerald foliage weaving its way around the expansive patio.

Of course Tropicale also offers a wide dinner menu (available Sunday-Thursday 5 p.m.-10 p.m.) featuring mouth-watering dishes such as coconut tiger shrimp, tandoori-marinated skinless chicken breast with pumpkin madras curry and boneless Southern fried chicken, marinated in buttermilk and paprika.  Bon Appetite!
