Owners Levane and Charlie Hause along with chef Josue Ayala, have created a union of fresh cuisine and a friendly family atmosphere to bring to the Coachella Valley. With a wonderful patio and warm authentic Tuscan Italian décor, their logo “where friends meet friends” truly embolishes their meaning of fine casual dining. Their personal attention is brought out with this dish as a family recipe, hence the name Grandma Honey’s Penne Ala Nonna. This gives a new meaning to comfort food. With the restaurant located on the “back end” of El Paseo, the name Backstreet Bistro rings with personality. With fresh fish dishes and exceptional specials, such as their signature Oso Bucco and Eggplant Parmigiana, the simple and quiet location brings a bit of relaxation to the rest of the busy El Paseo scene. You can find wonderful live jazz music on Tuesday nights and Saturday afternoons on the patio. With our magnificent patio view of the Santa Rosa and Santa Jacinto Mountains and a full bar, its fine dining with a casual touch.
