'To the sound of a guitar, baby'
Carlos Santana played before a sold-out crowd Friday, Sept. 30, at Fantasy Springs Resort Casino.
His fingers danced over his guitar strings while maracas, tambourines and horns orbited around him on stage. There was plenty of hip shaking and maybe a little hip breaking ("Everybody jump! Jump!").
Popular songs – “Oye Como Va,” “Maria, Maria” – opened the nearly three-hour show. A meandering, jam-band version “She’s Not There,” a cover of The Zombies’ 1960s hit, brought the audience to their feet later in the night.
