The Clean Air, Clean Stars Festival at Pappy & Harriet's saloon in Pioneertown put the Dandy Warhols' “Bohemian Like You” philosophy into action this past weekend.
The Portland, Ore., alternative band headlined a three-night festival of 30 acts, including the reverb-drenched Lower Heaven and roots rockers Sky Parade of Los Angeles, Tree House with Doors guitarist Robbie Krieger and Spindthrift.
The goal of the festival was to promote environmental awareness in the desert region where more than 61,000 acres, 60 homes and 170 businesses were burned two years ago in the Sawtooth fires.
