Though he’s only 35 years old, Leonardo DiCaprio’s career boasts more major accomplishments than many actors twice his age. Most importantly, DiCaprio’s a hell of an actor, as reliable and diverse as any star-level performer working today. In his latest collaboration with Scorsese, the Gothic detective thriller “Shutter Island,” he stretches again to play a federal marshal in ‘50s Boston investigating a prisoner’s disappearance from a maximum-security, island-based institution for the criminally insane.
