Hundreds of great restaurant, bar and club listings, from city hot spots to small-town diners. Search the entire site or break it down by categories including town, price range, food type, entertainment venue, music genre, bar style and more.

Extensive event listings, from happy hours to local band gigs, so you're in the loop on all the fun. Use our calendar to plan your week and share your faves with your friends.

Reviews of the latest movies, albums and TV shows, with photos and show times. Should you see it in the theater, add it to your iTunes library or set a season pass on your DVR? We'll let you know.

What is this new palmsprings.metromix.com Web site, and why would I want to use it?
Metromix is your local places-to-go and things-to-do guide for the Coachella Valley. Now you can quickly find the latest information on valley restaurants, bars, clubs, events, music, movies and TV. Metromix also gives you photo galleries, in-depth venue reviews and search functions to find it all fast.

How do I search for bars, clubs and restaurants in my favorite neighborhood?
You can get local quickly by using the facets on the restaurant, bars and clubs, events and music pages. On the left-hand side of each page, there are preset categories that allow you to search by location, price and venue amenities.

If you're looking for a more traditional method of finding a venue, the streamlined search function lets you search all the content on the site in one convenient location. No need to choose which category you want to search within. For example, type Palm Desert sushi in the search box on any page on the site and your results will appear. You'll get listings that include pictures, prices and more from all over Palm Desert.

Who finds all this information and posts it for us?
Our trusty producers and freelance staff who live, work and play in the Coachella Valley pound the pavement to find the latest and greatest places to eat, drink, dance and chill. They love nothing more than living in the Coachella Valley and sharing it with their fellow valley residents.

How can I interact with the site?
With Metromix, you can easily submit reader reviews or upload your own photos for everyone's viewing pleasure. Additionally, you can create your own social playlist to plan a night out for you and your friends. Build your playlist to let your friends and other Metromixers know what you're doing this weekend or where you like to go in the Valley.

Do I have to sign my life away to view the site?
No registration is necessary to view the content on the site. Registering is only required to post written reviews and upload pictures. And of course, you also can sign up for RSS feeds for up-to-date info sent directly to you.
