Water Woman Festival

A ‘modern day goddess’ made a stop in Joshua Tree this past weekend during the Water Woman Festival, an art and ecological celebration focusing on the goddess of water and the basic ideals of permaculture-a self-sustaining community heavily dependent on agriculture and green farming techniques.

During the four-day festival, which was held Oct. 1-4, organizers demonstrated green tecnolgy such as outdoor showers, eco lodging and solar cookers.
