Dezart One has picked up the play-reading slack created by the loss of the Palm Springs Playwrights Circle. Their staged reading of “Truth or Consequences,” by New York playwright Jessica Provenz, is a coming-of-age tale  based on a real-life horror story about two guys who get lost in the desert and see their camp site turn into a grave site. Admission is $5.
