While you're armed with pumpkin pie essentials, try this transformation of the dessert into a cool, refreshing party punch.
The spices and pumpkin puree blend with apple cider and ginger ale into a rich soda, delicious with or without the alcohol. Serve it to the kids then feel free to spike your own with vodka or rum.
And since it is a holiday: tap into happy milk-and-cookie memories by dunking gingerbread cookies into the drink. Pumpkin pie needs crust, after all.
Your punch bowl never had it so good.
