Best of Metromix Palm Springs 2012Bar
We discovered it’s not the drinks that make the make the bar. The menu could have anything from trendy herbal-infused cocktails to frosty pints served in mason jars. It’s not the crowd, either. Here in the Coachella Valley we have excellent bars crowded with cowboys, weirdos, scenesters and everything in between. There’s no formula for decor; you can find everything from battered license plates to glittery baubles.

They've been around for 40 years and blow the roof off of this sleepy little town every weekend with live, loud music! There are video games, pool tables, ping pong, shuffle board and misc other games to keep you ADD babies entertained while you sip your suds and drop your Jaeger bombs!

Rancho Mirage, CA 92270Yard House offers an outstanding beer selection with over 150 tap beers. Have a favorite or try a new one in their signature half yard glass. The food is great as well. Try one of their over 100 menu items. If you're looking for a fun late night hang out with a good crowd, variety of drinks, and great music, this is it. No doubt the social scene of the desert!

The Falls features at least 15 specialty martinis. And although the bar is fun and flirty a great place to meet friends, the dining area can accommodate groups of any kind. They even have a kids' menu and several vegetarian choices, including a table-side Caesar salad.

The nominees are an amateurish joke. What about the good joints in Palm Desert and La Quinta. Indeed, the "nominees" make this "Best of" most suspect.
