The 19th Hole is your friendly, neighborhood sports bar. It’s a bit like a Palm Desert version of Cheers, where the waitresses call you ‘hun’ and are happy to change the channel to accommodate your Sunday sports needs. The atmosphere is comfortable and unpretentious with portraits of sports greats and ancient golf bags lining the walls. In the center of the establishment lies a large, wooden bar where patrons of all ages mix and mingle while waiting on their next round.
The bar is near the Palm Desert Country Club, so don’t be alarmed when what appears to be a badass golf cart gang steals all the available parking spots.
Food: Juicy burgers and traditional bar food are the 19th Hole’s bread and butter. Surprisingly, the bar also serves an amazingly appetizing egg salad sandwich. Stopping by for Sunday brunch? We suggest sampling the soup of the day or a bacon burger and washing it down with a big ole’ glass of Stella.
Booze: We love the cheap drinks at the 19th Hole. Bud Light, Coors, MGD, Sam Adams, Blue Moon, Fat Tire and Stella Artois are on tap while the bar serves up whatever alcoholic concoction your little heart desires.
Entertainment: If you love to sing karaoke, or to laugh at those who do, the 19th Hole will quickly become your new favorite place Wednesday through Saturday after 8 p.m. We can’t promise an amazing amount of talent, but fun is definitely in store. On any given evening, you’re bound to hear your fill of abysmal Johnny Cash renditions, obscure 80’s hits, and the occasional Diana Ross ballad.
You can also bide your time pool sharking it up in the side room while enjoying some classic rock or hanging out on the patio chatting it up with other guests.
Insider Tips: Sundays get super busy, so be prepared to wait a bit for lunch or refills. The waitresses are busy, so give them some slack.
Bottom line: If cheap beer, good burgers and Sunday morning football are your thing, then jump on your golf cart and head to the 19th Hole.
