Some bars go out of their way to hide the fact that most of their patrons are there just to get drunk and have a good time. Hair of the Dog is not one of those places. Located in touristy downtown Palm Springs, this pub caters more to locals than the accidental customer.
Cocktails: The Hair has a pretty decent beer selection, with around seven beers on tap, and even more on bottles - and they don't stick to just big name breweries, they've got a nice colection of rare beers to choose from. As for mixed drinks, you better like them strong, because this place measures the booze with a heavy hand.
Decor: There's a pretty minimal amount of decoration inside - some tables and chairs, a long bar with stools, and both front and back patios. On the wall behind the bar are several TVs that show sporting events, or whatever's on at the time.
Fun: Right next to the front door is a digital jukebox that's filled with classic rock, rap, alternative, and dance tunes. It's actually one of the best jukeboxes in town. Plus, they open at 6 a.m., making serious drinkers happy at an early hour.
Service: Sure, they may look intimidating, but the bartenders here know their drinks, and after a few visits, they'll know your name. Of course, with all the booze flowing around, they make sure your visit is great by never leaving your drink empty for too long.
Atmosphere: Fun and more fun, Hair of the Dog feels like a real life version of Cheers, where everyone seems to know your name. The front patio can get packed pretty easily, so if you're looking for a seat, get there early.
Bottom line: On any given night, some serious good times are to be had at Hair of the Dog, so if you're ever tired of $9 watered down drinks and a stiff vibe from a typical Palm Springs bar, head on over.

If this is an English pub then McDonald's is a five star restaurant. I spent ten years in England and a pub this is not.

A great place for people who like to drink ONLY, not much for food or entertainment.
